Deep Dive

1. Mindset ~ The Only Thing That Can Hold You Back

For me, the term ‘Personal Development’ is more useful than the term ‘Mindset’ as Personal Development is actually what we’re aiming for.

I like to say that business is the greatest path to embark on if you want to develop and grow as a person.

Business is a game.

Inside this game there are many different levels we need to defeat to keep winning and ultimately get to a point some can call “success”.

The issue many people face which causes them to quit, or eventually fail is because they haven’t developed themselves to the character they need to be to conquer that level of the game.

Here are a few ways you can develop yourself personally:

  • Developing emotional mastery

  • Reading books to develop your mind

  • Creating a detailed personal life plan

  • Consistently setting goals that are In alignment with that plan

  • Keeping your body strong, mobile and flexible

  • Becoming a great public speaker

  • Teaching people below you

2. Sales ~ More Clients, More Cash

In any market, you will find your prospects in 1 of 3 “buckets”

  1. The Sidewalk - Don’t know you, aren’t aware, not interested. At all.

  2. The Slowlane - Don’t know you, problem aware, potentially looking for a solution if a good fit arises.

  3. The Fastlane - Interested to know you ASAP, looking for an authority figure, in need of a solution.

A lot of the time we make the issue of thinking our entire market is in the fastlane.

All this does is push people further and further aware from us.

Most people aren’t interested in buying right now.

You need a strategic way of getting them in your funnel through value, nurturing them over time and then turning them into customers when they are ready.

3. Product ~ Consistent & Repeatable Results

Through studying Alex Hormozi’s $46.2M Business Infrastructure “Gym Launch”

I was able to gather insights on how to actually structure my offer.

What I realized is that we need to build a Full Solution for the market we are in.

Understand the goal of your delivery model is to deliver a desired outcome for our clients

not only:

  1. As fast as possible

but

  1. As easy as possible

Like Naval says,

“Fortunes require leverage…”

We apply Leverage Because life is too short…

If you are a business owner,

you need leverage.

Leverage is how you escape the race of still trading your time for money.

4. Marketing ~ Lead → Appt Flow That Spits Out Cash

Since we understand only 3% of any given market it actively ready to buy, what do we now do with that information?

This means we need a system that can not only take advantage of the 3% of the market, but also nurtures leads over time.

The name of the game is staying top of mind with the correct messagign.

This can be accomplished through two things:

  • Omnipresence

  • Relevance

We want to always be sending out relevant messages that allows us to stay top of mind in our market.

All. The. Time.

This is because marketing operates of 5 core principles.

These principles can not be fakes by:

  • An automated webinar

  • A fake countdown timer on a sales page

  • Fake scarcity “5 spots left this month”

These are the 5 core principles:

Having an omnipresence through the use of multiple acquisition channels is what achieves the 5 core principles of marketing.

This allows our audience to feel like everywhere they look they end up seeing us.

They feel that:

  • They are always learning something valuable from us

  • Always seeing the kind of results you deliver

  • Feeling more and more connected to us

5. Operations ~ Firing Yourself From The Business

Operations is the what, the how, and the who of your business

What do you do?

How do you do it?

Who is responsible for it?

Every business owner that’s ever joined the game of entrepreneurship does this because they want to be free.

Something inside all of us drives us towards this simple aspect of freedom.

But the problem is we constantly get pulled into the trenches of the company.

There is always a constant barrage of problems that arise when it comes to operations.

Operations are repetitive, frequent, and urgent.

These are the tasks that need to be done over and over with little to no creative variation.

Operations are actually the opposite of creative entrepreneurship.

The key to free yourself from this “slavery” of the company, is to first document every single thing you do.

Everything.

Then,

eliminate, automate, outsource, or delegate.

6. Finance ~ Multiplying Your Net Worth ~ Building an Asset

The worth of a business is determined by the yearly profit and the scalability.

If a business is very scaleable it will sell for a high multiple of it’s yearly profits

ex:

A local business typically sells for 1x the yearly profit.

A media business can sell for 3x-20x the yearly profit.

A code/software business can sell for 5x-100x the yearly profit.

So it is to your biggest benefit, both now and in the future, to increase the net profit of your company.

There are three main buckets you need to consider when it comes to finances:

  1. Net Profit

  2. Tax

  3. OPEX (Operating Expenses)

Keep track of what’s coming in and out.

The last thing you want is a leaky bucket in your company that is simply draining your cashflow.
